Slash is exiting X/Twitter, informing his fans that he’ll “no longer be active” on the social media platform. The Guns N’ Roses guitarist noted that his followers can still keep up with him on other social platforms.
“I’d like to inform you that I’ve decided to step away from Twitter/X and will no longer be active on the platform,” wrote the rock legend in what is presumably his final post on the platform. “This was a considered decision after repeated hacks, and it reflects a shift in how I’d like to stay connected moving forward.”
He added, “You can still find me on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook where I’ll be posting regular updates.”
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer didn’t mention divisive X/Twitter owner Elon Musk, who bought the company for $44 billion in 2022, instead blaming “repeated hacks.” However, by noting that it “reflects a shift” in how he’d like to communicate, it does suggest that perhaps the guitarist had other issues with the platform.
